Rana Ansari-Jaberi

Prior to joining Walker, Hamilton & Koenig in July 2009, Rana worked as a Volunteer Deputy County Counsel in the Office of the Marin County Counsel and as a judicial extern at the Marin County Superior Court.

Rana speaks French fluently and Farsi, her native tongue, proficiently. Rana has lived, studied, worked and traveled abroad extensively. In 2004, Rana served as an intern both in the ambassador's office and the political unit of the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France. Later that year she went on to serve as a teaching assistant, and taught conversational English to French junior-high students in low-income schools.

In her spare time Rana loves running. She participates annually in the Surf City Marathon in Huntington Beach, California, which takes place every Super Bowl Sunday. Her goal this year is to qualify for the Boston Marathon and to start training for a triathlon. Rana also enjoys giving back to her community. She volunteers for the San Francisco Food Bank and has participated in numerous other civic activities.

In her tenure at Walker, Hamilton & Koenig, Rana has successfully argued motions in courts throughout the state, including one that ultimately resulted in the award of $19,372.50 in sanctions against Defendant State of California.

Rana received her J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law and a B.A., with honors in International Relations, French and Psychology, from UC Davis. She is a member of the California Bar and the federal court for the Eastern District of California.
